The Clovis High School Freshman Academy, entering its fourth year, has increased the number of proficient students and decreased disciplinary issues, including truancy.

A group of six teachers from the Freshman Academy traveled to the Southern Region Education Board’s annual national conference held in Louisville, Ky. July 14-17 and showed the group of more than 5,000 teachers from 43 states what their students felt like the first year and how the students, teachers and parents have come together to make the school a success.
