Family reunion — July 25

The Newberry Family Reunion held July 9-11 drew more than 175 family and friends.

The seven remaining siblings of Roy and Maude Newberry were all in attendance: Viola Orcutt of Fallbrook, Calif., Herb Newberry (host) of Portales, Bob Newberry of Parshal, Colo., Norma Sites of Roswell, Virginia Poe of Portales, Gale Newberry of Portales and Mary Bell Morgan of Sugar Grode, Ill.

Deceased siblings are Velma Thorn, Jean Bower, Betty Graham, Pat Thatcher and Billie Jo Newberry.

Reunions are held every five years and with the help of coordinator Ed Poe, it was very enjoyable occasion.
