Xcel Energy, which provides power in Clovis and Portales, has 3.4 million electricity customers and 1.9 million natural gas customers through its companies in eight states, according to its website.

Xcel’s headquarters are located in Minneapolis.

Got milk?

Milk is the No. 1 cash commodity in New Mexico, bringing in almost $1 billion in cash receipts in 2009, says New Mexico Department of Agriculture Director/Secretary Miley Gonzalez.

Here’s how production breaks out:

• 75 percent is produced in Curry, Roosevelt, Chavez, Eddy and Lea counties.

• 15 percent is produced in Dona Ana, Sierra and Luna counties.

• 10 percent is produced in the Albuquerque area.
