Friday morning briefing: Ute Lake fun and the Civil Rights Act

Good morning and welcome to the Freedom New Mexico Friday briefing.

If your headed north

Ute Lake State Park is scheduled to host its traditional all-day July 4 celebration again this year.

The day begins with a parade at 10 a.m. in Logan, followed by a horseshoe contest at the park.

The fireworks display is over Ute Lake starting at 9 p.m.

No breakfast as usual

The American Legion Auxiliary in Clovis will not host its breakfast on Saturday due to the holiday weekend.
