Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities

Weekly update — June 27

The recent Heritage Days sponsored by the Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce raised $1,030.

Sharon King, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce, said $1,000 was used to pay expenses for the five gospel bands who performed.

The remaining $30 left after expenses was put toward advertising, along with some money which came in from the Lodger’s Tax.

King said the chamber usually spends more than it takes in during Heritage Days.
