Club notes — June 27

Clovis Quilters club

The Clovis Quilters met June 14 at Trinity Lutheran Church with 13 members attending and welcomed new member Margie Truelock.

Sheryl Abdill called the meeting to order.

The group decided to skip the July meeting since vacation Bible school is that week at the church.

Amy Armenta announced that the group has been asked to put a quilt together that one of the VBS classes will be making blocks for, a workshop will be set up to do this. Due to the disbanding of Operation Homefront the local group will support to families of the fallen soldiers of the wars.

Sherly shared the next 2 mystery blocks and showed a different technique for doing flying geese.

Show and tell items were shared.

Norma Walters won four fat quarters.

The next meeting will be Aug. 9.
