Between monster trucks and clean Christian comedy, there’s something for just about everyone in Clovis this weekend.

Friday at 7 p.m. Upstage Comedians will be held in the Marshall Middle School auditorium.

The show is clean, family friendly comedy, according to promoter Kevin Shaw.

Shaw said performers Darryl “D Lo” Hutchins, Ronald “White Chocolate” Moore and Wendy “Quietstorm” Lee are nationally known for their clean but hilarious comedy routines.

“I just wanted to bring some big names to Clovis,” Shaw said. “We’re a small town, but we do big things.”

The show is expected to last more than two hours and attendees will have an opportunity to have photos taken with the performers after the show, he said.

Tickets are $20 per person or $25 at the door. Families of five can receive a reduced admission price of $50 by calling 791-0917 prior to the show, he said.

The Kicker Monster Truck Nationals will take place 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Curry County Fairgrounds.

The show will include live action and champion trucks such as the Bounty Hunter, Crash Master and Brute Force.

Both nights there will be a pre-show pit party where fans can meet drivers and local residents are also able to enter their own trucks and drive the monster truck course.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $17 at the gate, and $9 for children, $11 at the gate.
