Portales Police say they have arrested a man believed to be behind burglaries dating back to last September.
Deputy Chief of Police Lonnie Berry said Jesse Aranda, 20, of Portales, confessed to a burglary Jan. 10 in the 100 block of North Main.
Berry said Aranda also confessed to committing five other burglaries dating back to September 3, 2009.
Aranda was charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, three counts of burglary, three counts of receiving stolen property and two counts of conspiracy.
He was in Roosevelt County Detention Center in lieu of $50,000 bond.
