The 6th annual Joe’s Boot Shop Calf Roping is next week in Clovis.

Scheduled for April 22-25 at the Curry County Special Events Center, the event boasts it is the “Biggest and best in the US.”

“The Annual Joe's Boot Shop Calf Roping is now considered to the largest in the nation. This year, the event promises to be even bigger and better,” the release said.

There will be daily competitions ranging in skill levels and ages.

Some of the featured competitions are the double muggin’, dummy roping, foot races, a chuck wagon cook-off, a classic car show by the Desert Cruisers, a New Mexico High School Rodeo, pie auction and more, according to a release.

The first three days of the event are open to the public and tickets for Sunday’s events are $10.
