Finding perfect wine featured on show

Information on preventing sexual violence, determining your wine personality and talking about forgiveness will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and noon Thursday.

Amber Hamilton will discuss ways to prevent sexual violence and talk about how to educate parents and guardians on tools to help them facilitate discussions on sex and sexual violence and share resources. She is the administrator for Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners in Portales.

Ever wonder what type of wine is the perfect “fit” for you? David Mirassou is a wine expert and a sixth-generation winemaker, and he will explain a fun, “unscientific” quiz to determine your wine personality — and it’s on a Web site. He’s with Mirassou Winery in San Jose, Calif.

Kirk Wilkinson is an author and speaker, and he will talk about how forgiveness leads to being happy. His book is titled “The Happiness Factor,” and he’ll also explain benefits to forgiveness. He lives in Mesa, Ariz.

Information on breakfast recipes featuring pecans, working with candy melts and pattern fitting will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” at noon Tuesday and 2 p.m. Saturday.

We know that pecans are delicious in desserts, but Ann Cox is going to demonstrate ways to use them in traditional breakfast recipes. Cox represents the Texas Pecan Growers Association in College Station, Texas.

Nancy Siler of Wilton Industries in Woodridge, Ill., will show how to work with candy melts to make numbers, letters and other candy treats.

Pattern designer and seamstress Evelyn Langston will demonstrate a new method of pattern fitting that assures a perfect fit every time you sew a garment. Langston’s company is Ozark Crafts, and she lives in Gilbert, Ark.
