County seeks public input on fairgrounds

A public meeting to discuss plans for the Curry County Fairgrounds is being held Tuesday night.

Scheduled for 6 p.m. in the indoor pavilion, the public is encouraged to attend, a press release said.

A design firm hired by the county to create a master plan for the fairgrounds, will be on hand to share findings and ideas drawn, in part, from a March 1 open house.

Tuesday night’s meeting is the second step in a three-step process, according to a press release from county administration.

Populous Inc. from Knoxville has been hired to create a master plan, which is expected to be completed by May.

The group has also conducted meetings with user groups and analyzed the grounds and the changing needs of the fairgrounds.
