Sheriff's office giving presentation on Internet crimes against children

The Curry County Sheriff’s Office will be giving a presentation at 7 p.m. today on protecting children from Internet predators and Internet dangers.

Investigators from the Internet Crimes Against Children unit will give an overview of the work their unit does and will also cover a range of topics.

Items that will be discussed are social networking sites like MySpace, Facebook and Craig’s List as well as cyber bullying, “sexting”, Chat Roulette and precautions to ensure Internet safety, according to a press release.

The presentation will take about two hours, will be held in the North Annex of the Clovis Carver Library and is free and open to the public.
