Clovis superintendent candidates complete interviews

The Clovis Municipal Schools board of education wrapped up two days of meetings Friday with the three finalists for the position of superintendent.

The finalists, Fort Sumner Schools Superintendent Patricia Miller, Douglas (Ariz.) Unified School District Superintendent Earl Pettit, and Clovis Deputy Superintendent of Operations Joel Shirley, interviewed with the school board, administrative council and district policy committee Thursday and Friday.

After an hour-and-a-half executive session Friday, the board said it will issue a decision regarding the superintendent search Tuesday after meeting in executive session.

The board has a regular meeting scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cameo Elementary School. The board will convene into executive session during that meeting.
