Good morning and welcome to Freedom New Mexico’s Thursday briefing.

For parents

Parents get the skinny on gangs, bullying, sexting, etc from local cops.

It’s called the “Modern Day Parenting Presentation” 6 p.m. at Marshall Middle School.

Strong armed

Eastern New Mexico University junior pitcher Anthony Smith of 29 Palms, Calif., is Lone Star Conference co-Pitcher of the Week.

Smith pitched 4 1/3 scoreless innings while picking up two saves as the Greyhounds earned a split in a four-game series at then 19th-ranked Cameron.

The Greyhounds (5-5) host Tarleton State in a four-game series starting Friday.

Happy B’day Curry

The Curry County Centennial Committee is at Sandia Elementary School Friday to talk to students about the history of Curry County.

Each student will also receive an official centennial coin marked with the Curry County Centennial logo.
