Information on making a four-diamond roman shade, caring for flowers and learning how to cope will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and noon Thursday.

Terrell Sundermann is going to demonstrate making a “four diamond roman shade,” which she says is the most-requested design she gets. Her business is Terrell Designs, and she’s from Englewood, Colo.

Michelle Robertson, who is a floral designer, will share some tips on making sure your beautiful floral arrangement stays that way for as long as possible. She is the manager of Hestand’s Floral and Gifts in Portales.

We know that lots of people are facing tough times, but according to Kirk Wilkinson, we shouldn’t underestimate our ability to cope. He will talk about this and other ways to stay positive in tough times. His book is called “The Happiness Factor,” and he’s from Mesa, Ariz.

Information on making homemade bread, making items from gourds and preparing a Cajun spice mix will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” at noon Tuesday and 2 p.m. Saturday.

Glenna Vance, Lesaffre Yeast Corp., will demonstrate a yeast activity test to determine if yeast is active before using it to make homemade breads. She’ll also show how to do a “ripe” test on risen dough. She’s from Milwaukee, Wis.

Jane Davis, author, says gourds are a wonderful medium for all kinds of arts and crafts, and she’ll show how to use beads to decorate the edge of a bowl that is made from a wild gourd. Davis is from Ventura, Calif.

Cookbook author Kerri Elders will discuss Cajun cooking and demonstrate a homemade Cajun spice mixture that is ideal for seasoning shrimp and other seafood and meats. Elders’ company is WordPros Publications.
