Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities

Greatwide adding 75 jobs

The Roosevelt County Community Development Corporation (RCCDC) announced today that they are working with Greatwide Logistics Inc. of Dallas, Texas to provide support for their expanding dairy transportation business based at the Portales Industrial Park.

Greatwide recently won a countywide milk hauling contract with the Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), and is establishing operations at a site owned by Dairy Farmers of America in the Portales Industrial Park.

Greatwide has already hired dozens of local employees and signed contracts with local vendors of trucking-related services.

“Greatwide is a high quality company with excellent salaries and benefits, and they offer excellent growth opportunities for local businesses and individuals who want to learn and service the dairy hauling business”, said Greg Fisher, Executive Director of the RCCDC. Greatwide owns and operates its own fleet of trucks while also establishing contracts with local trucking firms.

“Greatwide offers a unique opportunity in their training program for Portales residents who have never driven a truck to work their way up the ranks and eventually own their own small business,” said Fisher. “Not too many companies can offer that kind of opportunity to the right motivated individual.”
