Lettered four years in soccer for coach Alex Reyes at Las Cruces… a member of the New Mexico 5A High School runner-up team in 2004… recognized as all-state second team as a senior and honorable mention as a junior… named first team all-district as a junior and a senior, and honorable mention all-district as a sophomore… traveled to Albuquerque, NM to compete with the Rio Vista FC Sparks club team coached by Chris Hurst and Chris Brennan… member of the New Mexico ODP state team and Region IV ODP camp participant… also trained with the NM Rush Sharks coached by Ivan Strnad… daughter of Elva and Philip Armijo… plans to major in Biology with an emphasis in Pre-Med.
Maurisa Jones, 5-6 F
Estrella Foothills H.S., Goodyear, Arizona
Leading scorer in each of her five seasons playing for the Arizona Fury 93 club team coached by Karla Thompson… played year-round club soccer except for her junior year when she competed for and led Estrella Foothills High to the Arizona State Championship as its leading scorer… recognized as first team all-state and all-region during that season… member of the Arizona ODP state team and ODP regional championships participant… ran two years of high school track… finished 1st in the 4x400, 2nd in the 4x100, 3rd in the 400, 4th in the 100 and 6th in the long jump at the 2009 Arizona state championships… member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Health Occupation Students of America… Vice President of Student Council Senior Class … recognized with the AIA Academic Athlete Award and named to the Honor Roll… daughter of Jacqueline and Dovin Jones… plans to major in Biology with an emphasis in Pre-Dental.

Lettered five years for coach Misty Long at Carlsbad… the leading 5A goal scorer in New Mexico as a senior with 31 goals and 15 assists, the second leading 5A goal scorer as a sophomore with 26 goals and 13 assists… scored an impressive 95 goals and 43 assists during her high school career… named first team all-state, first team all-district and district Player of the Year as a senior… also named honorable mention all-state as a sophomore… recognized as first team all-district in each of her high school seasons… member of the New Mexico ODP state team and Region IV ODP camp participant… four year varsity member of the track team… daughter of Wallace Marshall… plans to major in Biology with a minor in Athletic Training.

Played four years for Redmond High and coach Ken Marshall… named team captain as a senior… recognized as second team all-state, conference offensive player of the year, and first team all-league (twice)… twice named team most valuable player and also honored as most inspirational… earned the student-athlete academic award in each of her four seasons and named to the Honor Roll as a sophomore, junior and senior… member of Future Business Leaders of America, Sparrow Club and the student athletic training staff… a member and two-time captain of the Oregon Rush 91 Nike club team under coaches Kyle Steinbaugh and Brad Miller … daughter of Marci and Chris Tucker… plans to pursue a career in International Affairs.
