Five large from Mesa
Students at Mesa Elementary School in Clovis, New Mexico have raised nearly $5,000 for Red Cross Haiti Relief Efforts.
Principal Jan Cox and students of Mesa Elementary School are presenting a check to a Red Cross representative today at the school’s 8:05 a.m. school assembly.
Strike up the band
The Clovis High School Freshman Academy band solo and ensemble recital is 7 p.m. today at Marshall Auditorium. The show is free.
The Freshman Academy band will also participate in a band solo and ensemble festival 1 p.m. Saturday at Eastern New Mexico University.
King for more than a day
Eastern New Mexico University is continuing the celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. with a film on his accomplishments and life from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Eddy Hall.
