Good morning and welcome to Freedom New Mexico's Wednesday briefing.

Heart jumping

If you pledged money for Jump Rope for Heart...it’s due today.

Several Clovis elementary schools are participating in the fundraiser as part of American Heart Month.

Students participating in the fundraiser find sponsors to pledge payment for jump time.

Zia students jump Friday; Cameo Feb. 8-12; Parkview Feb. 16-19; Sandia Feb. 22-26; Mesa Feb. 12; and James Bickley April 4.

Local sports note

Clovis High grad Bryce Hill hit seven 3-pointers and finished with 28 points Saturday in Jacksonville (Texas) College’s 84-71 win over Tyler Junior College.

This is Hill’s second season at Jacksonville, now 11-11.

Hill ranks fourth on Clovis High’s career scoring list behind Bubba Jennings, Jaye Crockett and Jaden Isler.
