Ninth Judicial District Attorney Matthew Chandler announced today that James Metzger, age 38, was convicted of one (1) count of Trafficking Methamphetamines, a second degree felony, and sentenced to three (3) years in the Department of Corrections.
Additionally, Anna Goodwin, age 38, was also convicted of one (1) count of Trafficking Methamphetamines, a second degree felony; one count of Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamines, a third degree felony; and one (1) count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
Goodwin was sentenced to serve five (5) years in the Department of Corrections.
The Honorable Judge Stephen K. Quinn presided over the sentencing and Assistant District Attorney Hollie Barnett prosecuted the case for the State.
Judge Quinn sentenced Metzger to serve three (3) years in the Department of Corrections and sentenced Goodwin to serve five (5) years in prison.
Upon release, both defendants will be required to serve an additional five (5) years of intensively supervised probation.
