PORTALES — Junior forward Cat Clay led a balanced attack with 17 points, including five 3-pointers, and junior point guard Tori Northcutt posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds Saturday as Eastern New Mexico University ended a 14-game Lone Star Conference South Division losing streak with a 70-56 win over Midwestern State at Greyhound Arena.
Junior forward Til-Lois Fifer added 16 points and nine rebounds and juniot center Kara Bible chipped in 14 points and six boards for the Zias (6-13, 1-3 South), whose last division win came at the expense of MSU in the 2007-08 season finale. ENMU also snapped a six-game losing streak overall.
Junior guard-forward Aqueelah Watkins led the Mustangs (6-10, 0-3) with 12 points.
