Who knew prairie chickens were such a hot item?
Turns out all 100 spots to watch the birds' annual courtship dances have already sold out for the April 16-18 High Plains Prairie Chicken Festival.
Heck, they just announced tickets three weeks ago — at $95 a pop.
The state Department of Game and Fish says early birds who want to get in on the fun for 2011 can do so by contacting Tish McDaniel at [email protected] or 575-762-6997.
