Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
About noon Nov. 27 an officer responded to an undisclosed residence for an incomplete 911 call.
Dispatch advised the officer they had received several calls from a young male who had given them the address.
When no one was home at the residence the officers left, driving towards Yucca and Sandia streets, where they spotted a young male walking with a cell phone in his hand.
The boy ran when officers approached him but they caught him about a half a block away.
One of the officers asked dispatch to call the number the 911 calls had come from and the cell phone in the boy’s pocket began to ring. They then discovered 16 calls to 911 in the phone’s call history.
The boy was cited for evading an officer, concealing his identity and abuse of 911 and was turned over to the custody of his father.

About 2 p.m. Nov. 30 officers responded to an undisclosed residence for a report of rape.
A woman said she was standing outside her apartment and her upstairs neighbor grabbed her wrist and took her upstairs to his apartment where he raped her.
She said she told him no several times and after he finished he went in the bathroom and she left.
The woman was given an exam by a sexual assault nurse examiner.
Officers spoke to the man, who said he and his neighbor had intercourse but that it was consensual. He allowed officers to collect his clothing and other items for forensic testing.
The man was charged with criminal sexual penetration.

About 9 p.m. Nov. 30 an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Grande Avenue for a house fire.
The owner of a mobile home told the officer it was empty and no one was inside.
A fire investigator told the officer a jug of gasoline had been thrown under the front steps and the fire was being classified as an arson.

About noon Dec. 1, an officer was called to Marshall Middle School for a report of inhalant abuse.
A citizen driving past the school’s athletic field reported to school administrators that several students were seen inhaling something in a can.
The school principal identified six students who were involved and turned over a can of dust remover to the officer. The officer noted intent to forward a copy of his report to juvenile authorities.
