Zias fall in three games to Aggies

LAWTON, Okla. — Lindsay Paziuk combined 11 kills and 11 digs Saturday to lead Cameron past Eastern New Mexico University 25-15, 25-15, 25-17 in a Lone Star Conference volleyball match.

The Zias (5-18, 0-8 LSC) led early in each game but quickly fell behind as the Aggies (14-9, 2-5) quickly took control.

Sophomore middle blocker Jessica King had seven kills for ENMU, while senior libero Caitlin Murphy posted a match-high 19 digs.

King had a kill and Veronica Valdez-Kent added an ace to stake the Zias to a 3-0 lead in the first game, but the Aggies went up 12-6 on a kill by Laura Ellerbrock, then scored the final five points of the set.

ENMU opened a 3-1 lead in the second game and still led 9-8 before the Aggies went ahead for good on a Zias service error. Cameron finished out the game on a 17-6 run.

Eastern led 11-5 in Game 3 after an ace by Grace Brandt, but the Aggies scored 10 of the next 11 points to roar from behind.

ENMU closes its home schedule with LSC outings agianst East Central at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Southeastern Oklahoma at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Greyhound Arena.
