Clovis schools receive lighting grants

Clovis Municipal Schools and Clovis Community College are recipients of nearly $200,000 in federal stimulus funds, according to a release from Gov. Bill Richardson’s office.

The funding comes from $24 million intended to improve energy efficiency at schools, college, tribes and other agencies across the state.

Clovis Municipal Schools received $76,295 for LED office lighting, while Clovis Community College will receive $119,104 to handle lighting and a cooling system replacement.
