Clovis man facing 18 years on drug charges

A Clovis man is facing 18 years in prison on drug dealing charges.

James Sneed Jr., 43, of Clovis was found guilty Thursday by a Curry County jury of one count of trafficking cocaine and one count of marijuana possession.

The charges stem from a search warrant served last March.

According to a release from District Attorney Matt Chandler’s office, the search netted two bags of cocaine, a bag of marijuana and more than $1,600 in cash.

Sneed faces a maximum penalty of 18 years in prison.

A sentencing hearing will be scheduled within the next 90 days.
