Fraternity raising money

The Theta Zeta chapter of the Kappa Sigma fraternity at Eastern New Mexico University plans to go door-to-door the week of Oct. 4 to collect donations for the Fisher House Foundation.

The foundation provides comfort houses on the grounds of military and Veterans Administration hospitals, supports the families of patients and makes sure the families of military personnel wounded in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom don’t have to pay for their stays at foundation comfort houses or base facilities.

Theta Zeta members hope to raise $5,000. This week, they have been seeking contributions from local businesses.
