Rio Rancho beats Cats 21-17

RIO RANCHO — Tyler Baker threw his third touchdown pass of the game, a 27-yarder to Zach Rogers with under four minutes left in the game, as Rio Rancho beat Clovis 21-17 Friday in a non-district game.

Senior linebacker Emory Sierra returned an interception 51 yards for a touchdown with a little more than a minute left in the second quarter to pull Clovis to within 14-10 at halftime.

Quran Wiggins raced 70 yards on the first play from scrimmage in the second half, but Clovis (3-2) couldn't hold on and lost for the second straight week.
