Hailed as the No. 1 Beatles tribute act in the world, Yesterday brings its Beatle boots, velvet suits and on-spot vocals to Clovis for a special performance, which kicks off the 2009-2010 Cultural Arts Series presented by Clovis Community College.
Yesterday will take the stage at 7 p.m. Saturday at Marshall Auditorium.
Yesterday was created in Las Vegas 22 years ago by John Lennon impersonator Don Bellezzo. The show played at the Tropicana, thrilling audiences with its convincing and accurate portrayal of John, Paul, George and Ringo.
Yesterday’s show features the early era of the Beatles. The
group goes to extreme lengths to recreate performances including attire, accents, mannerisms and musical
equipment.
Yesterday has toured Japan, Canada, the Philippines, Hong Kong, the Bahamas and United States military bases throughout the world.
The U.S. Postal Service invited the group to perform at the unveiling of the Yellow Submarine postage stamp at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.
