Hounds add assistant coach

Eastern New Mexico University men’s basketball coach Andrew Helton has added Stott Carter to his staff for the upcoming season.

Carter comes to Portales after serving at Pfeiffer University in Carolina. In 2007, he was part of the staff at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, helping the Islanders reach the NCAA tournament.

Previously, he coached in junior college level at Kilgore (Texas) College and Central Florida.
