Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
The City of Clovis is seeking bids for extending a runway at the municipal airport.
The bid is for an extension of about 1,800 feet to the 4-22 runway.
Airport Manager Steve Summers said the renovation would put the runway at 7,200 feet.
City Purchasing Agent David Boswell said the extension would allow the airport to accomodate bigger aircraft, including 30-passenger jets.
Bids are being accepted through Aug. 18.
