Clovis women get year for aiding escapee
Two Clovis women will serve a year in jail for helping hide a jail escapee from police.
Robin Kirvin, 40, and Samantha Wallace, 21, were convicted of harboring or assisting a felon, according to a press release from the district attorney’s office.
Police received a tip in October that jail escapee Michael England was hiding at Wallace’s apartment on Pile Street.
Wallace and Kirvin denied England was at the apartment, but when police searched, they found England hiding in a bedroom, police said.
England was one of eight inmates who escaped Aug. 24 by cutting a hole in the jail roof.
Only convicted child-killer Edward Salas remains at large.
