Lubbock is set to host three of American music’s biggest names — Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan and John Mellencamp — in an Aug. 8 concert.
The three, along with smaller bands to be named, will appear in a 5 p.m. concert at Jones AT&T Stadium on the campus of Texas Tech University.
The concert will be Mellencamp’s first appearance in Lubbock, and first in more than 17 years for either Nelson or Dylan.
Tickets go on sale at various outlets in Lubbock and at selectaseat.com, starting June 13.
Concert promoter Gary Boren of Llano Estacado Music said ticket prices will preliminarily range from $39.50 to $69.50, not including service charges.
Boren said concert capacity will be about 16,000.
Both Dylan, 68, and Mellencamp, 57, are both Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members.
Nelson, 76, is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. He last visited eastern New Mexico for a 2005 concert in Portales.
