Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
About 1 p.m. March 25 an officer responded to a business in the 2000 block of Mabry Drive for a fraud report.
An employee at a senior care facility said one of her clients was being defrauded by her son.
The woman said the man had a power of attorney over his mother’s affairs until she contacted adult protection and had it revoked.
She said she learned the son sold his mother’s house and kept the proceeds and was also withdrawing all but $400 of his mother’s monthly income every time it was deposited.
The officer took copies of the documentation the woman provided.

About 3 p.m. March 26 an officer responded to a business in the 700 block of Commerce for a theft of services report.
A manager said a former employee and her boyfriend had been asked to leave after becoming belligerent with the staff.
A little while later, the manager said a male called and placed an $80 order for 20 cheeseburgers. She said those type orders are common and no one thought anything of it until no one came to pick the order up.
The officer cross-referenced the phone number and found the former employee and her boyfriend at the residence. They denied placing the order.
The officer noted intent to seek a warrant for falsely obtaining services.

About 2 p.m. March 29 an officer responded to a residence in the 700 block of Sheldon for a report of robbery.
A woman said she, her teen son and her boyfriend had just arrived home when they heard banging on the back door.
The woman said her boyfriend looked out the window and told her to take her son and run out the front of the house.
She said as they exited through the front door, her sister’s boyfriend and two others with their faces covered by bandanas were getting into her sister’s car.
One of the men pointed an object wrapped in a cloth at her and told her he was going to get her, then the men left.
She said her boyfriend had run off on foot.

About 11 p.m. March 29 officers responded to a residence in the 2000 block of Sheldon Street for a report of criminal damage.
A man said his former girlfriend came to his home and called him outside but when he wouldn’t go outside, she slashed three of his tires on his vehicles and left.
A couple hours later the man and his former girlfriend told police they made an arrangement where she would pay for the tires and he didn’t want to pursue charges any longer.
