Police find cocaine on 21-year-old Muleshoe man

A Muleshoe man was arrested for possession of cocaine by Portales Police responding Friday to a fight on Chicago Ave.

Andrew Smith, 22, of Muleshoe and Larry Booker, 21, of Clovis, were both in a fist fight and were taken into custody by Portales Police said Capt. Lonnie Berry.

Berry said he found a plastic spindle that contained a white powder in Smith’s pocket. The substance tested positive for cocaine, Berry said.

“Smith has been charged with possession of controlled substance and for public affray.”
