SAN ANTONIO — Eastern New Mexico University’s volleyball team dropped a pair of matches Friday in the St. Mary’s/Texas MedClinic Invitational, falling to Augustana (S.D.) 25-21, 25-21, 25-15 and to the host Rattlers 25-16, 25-17, 28-26.
Senior Vanessa Wilcox and freshman Sarah Koch each had six kills for the Zias against Augustana, while Wildox added six kills against St. Mary’s. ENMU nearly forced a fourth game against St. Mary’s, leading twice by a point down the stretch.
The Zias conclude play in the tournament today. ENMU will face Missouri Southern at 11:15 a.m. (MDT), then face Rollins College (Fla.) in a 3:45 p.m. contest.
