Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
About 6 p.m. Sunday an officer responded to a report of 200 Manana Boulevard for a report of a subject down.
The officer found a man who smelled of alcohol lying on the ground.
It took the officer about 10 minutes to wake the male and when he sat up he began cursing at the officer.
The man refused medical assistance from ambulance crews when they arrived and would not tell the officer where he lived.
The officer arrested the man for disorderly conduct, concealing his identity and resisting arrest.

About 9 a.m. Sunday an officer responded to a residence in the 900 block of Plaza Street for a theft report.
A man said he returned home from being out of town and discovered his stove and hot water heater missing.
The officer could find no signs of forced entry to the house.
The items were valued around $600.

Around noon Sunday an officer responded to a business in the 1700 block of Wallace Street for a burglary in progress.
An employee said he entered the building to get a tool and saw a female sitting at the desk so he called his boss to find out who she was. The owner didn’t know who she was and called police.
The 20-year-old woman was found sitting calmly at the desk.
She told officers God had let her into the business.
She was arrested.

About 3 p.m. Sunday an officer responded to a residence in the 2000 block of Grand Avenue for a report of a subject with a weapon.
Officers began evacuating apartments around the residence, where a man stood in his doorway and yelled at officers.
A woman unsuccessfully tried o pull him back into the apartment but the man continued cursing and yelling at an officer for looking at him and his residence.
The man was arrested for disorderly conduct.
No weapon was found.
