KENW plans to air forum

Eastern New Mexico University’s KENW-TV will broadcast a live New Mexico candidate forum on Friday.

The 90-minute forum, hosted by Lorene Mills, of Santa Fe, is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Friday. It will feature candidates answering questions on issues affecting New Mexicans, said New Mexico Municipal League Treasurer and Portales Mayor, Orlando Ortega Jr.

“Providing programs like this to the public is part of the KENW mission,” said Ortega, who is also KENW’s operations director and producer of the broadcast. “The program will give Eastern New Mexico citizens a chance to learn more about their congressional candidates.”
