Johnson

Lisa D. Johnson of Clovis was named to the Deans List at Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell for the spring 2008 semester.

To be named to the Deans List students must earn a 3.25 or higher grade point average while carrying at least 12 semester hours.

Shaw

Kathi Schneider Shaw of Clovis received her Masters of Education from Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass., on May 18.

Shaw also has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Eastern New Mexico University.

She is currently employed as a teach at Lincoln Jackson Family Center in Clovis.

Zarikta

Michael Zarikta received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry during commencement exercises May 14 at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas.

He is the son of Brian and Marilyn Zarikta of Clovis. He attended West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas where he graduated cum laude in 2003 with a Bachelors Degree in biochemistry. He is a 1998 graduate of Clovis High School.

Zarikta plans to practice dentistry in Clovis.

Baylor

Jenna D. DeWitt and Allison Ann Wiley, both of Clovis were named to the Deans Academic Honor List for the spring 2008 semester at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

To be named to the Deans List, a student must be an undergraduate with a minimum grade-point average of 3.7 while enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours. Engelo P. Charles and Isaac L. Godwin., both of Clovis were named to the Deans Honor List for the spring 2008 semester at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas .

Students named to the Deans Honor List earned at least a 3.25 grade point average with no failing grades while carrying at least 12 credit hours.

College of the Southwest

Joshua Bussen, Sarah Johnson and Jayme Nauman, all of Clovis were named to Presidents List for the spring 2008 semester at College of the Southwest in Hobbs .

To be eligible for the Presidents List students must maintain a 4.0 grade point average and be enrolled for at least six semester hours.

Clovis Community College

Clovis Community Colleges Radiologic Technology class of 2008 received their pins during a pinning ceremony held July 2 at CCCs Town Hall.

The graduates include: Carmen Acosta, Cassie Alderson, Shelli Beevers, Cami Burney, Christine Coyle, Vicki Duarte, Tasha Harvey, Kari Sue Hunt, Lisa Mackey, Christopher Miller, Jaime Robins and Shannon Rodriguez.

Hollis

Nathan Grey Hollis of Clovis received his Bachelors Degree from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Okla., on May 17 in the universitys Raley Chapel.

Hollis graduated with a degree in theatre.

Wayland Baptist University-Clovis

Local students were recently named to Wayland Baptist University-Clovis campus Presidents List and the Deans List for the 2008 spring term.

To qualify for the Presidents List, students must attend full-time and have a semester grade-point average of 4.0.

Blaschke

Jeremy Blaschke of Clovis was named to the Deans List for the spring 2008 semester at Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn.

To be eligible for the Deans List, a student must earn at least a 3.5 grade average on Bryans 4.0 scale.

Burns

Mary Catherine Burns, a 2006 graduate of Clovis High School,was named to the Deans Honor Roll for the 2008 spring semester at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla.

Students who completed 12 or more hours with a grade point average of 3.50 or higher, with no incomplete grade or grade below a €œC,€ were placed on the Deans Honor Roll.

Jimenez

Brittni Jimenez of Clovis was named to the Honorable Mention List for the fall 2007 semester at Garden City Community College in Garden City, Kan.

Students named to the Honorable Mention List are enrolled in eight or more credit hours and maintain a grade point average of 3.0 to 3.199.

Eastern New Mexico University

Local students attending Eastern New Mexico University in Portales were named to the 2008 spring semester Deans Honor Roll.

To be eligible for the Deans Honor Roll students must complete a minimum of 15 hours for the semester and maintain a 3.25 GPA.
