City to mark EMS Week

The Portales City Council will be presenting the Portales Fire Department with a proclamation during the special council meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 declaring May 18-24 “EMS Week” in Portales.

During the week a variety of EMS educational tools and resources will be offered to the public. The PFD will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the station located at 301 South Avenue C. There will be demonstrations, tours and a chance to talk to members of the PFD.

Commodities to be distributed

Monthly federal commodities will be delivered on Wednesday at the Memorial Building.
