Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kelly of Portales announce the approaching marriage of their son, Joseph Daniel of Lubbock to Whitney Callison Schimming of Dallas, Texas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Schimming of Dallas.
The couple will exchange vows June 28, 2008, at Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas.
The reception will be at Winfrey Point at White Rock Lake in Dallas.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Baylor University and earned a master’s degree in Spanish literature at the University of California-Los Angeles.
She is employed at Rockwall Independent School District in Dallas.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Texas Tech and owns Kelly Contractors Inc. in Lubbock.
