• Seniors will meet Thursday at the Floyd Senior Citizens Center for games and fellowship. Potluck is at 6 p.m. and games begin at 7 p.m.

• Lion’s club will meet Monday at 7:00pm

4-H meeting held

The Floyd 4-H Council met last week. The first order of business was to elect officers, who are:

President — WT Whitecotton

Vice President — Shayla Whitecotton

Secretary — Crysten Smith

Treasurer — Lane Wallace

Reporter — Shelby Essary

Recreational Leader — Tyler Richerson

County Council Representative — Natalie and Shadarah Pepsworth

It was also decided to change the time and day of meetings to 3 p.m. the second Sunday of the month. Leader Toni Whitecotton passed out a tentative schedule for snack duty and demonstration schedule for each month, as well as a schedule of proposed workshops throughout the year.

Women’s Bible study begins

A few women in the community have expressed interest in starting a women’s Bible study group. They plan to meet from 6:30-8:30 p.m. every first and third Wednesday at the home of Debi Moore. Any woman interested, please contact Debi at 478-2463 so enough materials will be available.
