Yes, it's that time of year again: tax season. However, completing and filing your tax forms can be painless, simple and free at the Cannon AFB Tax Office.

The Tax Office will open for this year's season Jan. 28 and remain open through April 15. They will begin scheduling appointments Jan. 21. The Tax Office is located next to the 27th Special Operations Wing Legal Office.

All active duty personnel, family members, retirees and federal civilian employees may have their federal and state income tax returns prepared at no cost.

For individuals filing 1040EZ forms, walk-in hours will be Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Individuals filing Forms 1040 or 1040A should call 784-7304 to schedule an appointment.

Due to lack of space and volume of people served, please make arrangements for child care while filing your taxes.
