Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
The United Way of Eastern New Mexico United is seeking 70-plus volunteers to hear presentations, review applications and decide how to distribute United Way donor funds.
United Way Executive Director Erinn Burch said the process increases accountability to United Way donors by requiring non-profits to define how donor funds will be spent and how the program will address priority areas.
Volunteers attend one training session, spend time at home reviewing four to five applications and hear one evening’s worth of presentations. Total commitment involved is less than 10 hours, completed in less than two weeks, Burch said.
Volunteers interested in serving on these panels can do so by calling 2-1-1 or e-mailing [email protected].
