As the first day of school draws near, school Web sites have information for parents to get their children ready for school.
Parents can find registration dates, opening days, lunch menus, schedule pickup times and other events listed.
Clovis Municipal Schools Superintendent Rhonda Seidenwurm said school closures because of bad weather will be posted on the school district’s Web site. The Clovis school district’s Web site is http://www.cms.k12.nm.us, and parents can find links to specific school sites there.
According to the Web site, parents will be able to track their children’s grades online in the 2008-09 school year. The school will use the Skyward database program that will allow parents to track their child’s academic progress and lunch accounts.
With the transition of ninth-graders to the Clovis High School Freshman Campus, there are new Web sites for Marshall and Yucca middle schools and the Freshman Campus.
