Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
The United Way of Eastern New Mexico is seeking volunteers to serve on a fund distribution panel.
The panel will be responsible for reviewing applications submitted by area programs and recommending funding levels, according to Executive Director Erinn Burch, according to Executive Director Erinn Burch.
“We (United Way) need people to help us carry out our mission to use resources,” Burch said. “So, basically we are looking for people who want to be a part of this process.”
Burch said more than 35 programs applied for funding last year.
Prior to serving on the panel, members will be required to participate in a two-hour training session. After completing the training session, volunteers serve on one panel in February.
The dates for training sessions are as follows:
—11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Jan. 25, Fairfield Inn and Suites
—5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Jan. 25, Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce.
—5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Jan. 30, Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce board room.
—11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Feb. 2, Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce.
The dates for the Curry County program review panels are as follows:
—5:30 to 9 p.m., Feb. 5
—5:30 to 9 p.m., Feb. 6
—5:30 to 9 p.m., Feb. 8
Roosevelt County program review panels are as follows:
—5:30 to 9 p.m., Feb. 12
—5:30 to 9 p.m., Feb. 15
Individuals interested in serving are asked to fill out a panel member information form and return it to the United Way. Forms may be faxed to 769-1416 or mailed to P.O. Box 806, Clovis, N.M. 88102. An e-mail request for the form can also be sent to [email protected] or downloaded from http://www.unitedwayenm.org.
The deadline to submit forms is Monday.
