State representative Anna Crook of Clovis has been selected to serve on a methamphetamine task force of women elected officials, according to a National Foundation for Women Legislators press release.
The task force is working to find solutions to address the growing epidemic of methamphetamine use nationwide, the release said.
A member of the National Foundation for Women Legislators’ National Policy Committee on Crime, Justice, Terrorism and Substance Abuse, Crook, a Republican, will speak at the NFWL’s annual conference Nov. 16-20, in Avon, Colo.
Legislative policy surrounding methamphetamine use and treatment alternatives will be the major focus of the conference, the release said.
