Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
About 10 p.m. Oct. 12 an officer took a theft report at a residence in the 900 block of Prairieview Drive. The woman told police her inflatable pumpkin was stolen out of her front yard. She said an extension cord and seven pumpkins were also taken. The case is under investigation.
Around 10 p.m. Oct. 13 an officer responded to an apartment in the 1200 block of Cameo Street to take a report of telephone harassment. The woman said a male had been calling her and her daughter’s cell phones and cursing at them. She also received threatening text messages from him, the report said. The officer was unable to locate the male. The case remains active.
About 4 a.m. Saturday an officer responded to a convenience store in the 2600 block of West 7th Street for a report of larceny. The clerk told police a man came to the counter with a bag of nuts, and when he opened the register the man reached over the counter and grabbed $15 in $5 bills, then ran out the door. The officer obtained a copy of the surveillance video and placed the bag of nuts into evidence.
Around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, an officer was called to a store in the 200 block of North Prince Street for a report of burglary. The back door of the business had been kicked, the report said. The owner said several dresses were missing from the store. The case is under investigation.
