Dialing 911 is the fastest way to receive emergency police, fire or medical assistance. But many still call 911 to ask non-emergency questions such as weather information or correct time.

If you call 911 by mistake, stay on the line. Dispatchers treat all 911 calls — even hang-ups — as emergencies.

Dial 911 for emergencies only. The non-emergency number to the Security Forces is 784-4111. Chavez, Chavez West and Clovis 801 Housing, dial 769-1921 for the Clovis Police Department. In 801 Portales, call 356-4404 for the Portales Police Department.
