Louis Gauna, 74, of Clovis, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005.
He was born March 19, 1931, in Yeso.
He served in the Army from 1951 to 1953. He worked at the Clovis schools for many years as a typewriter repairman. He also worked as a delivery man for Texas Industrial Services.
Family members said he loved camping, fishing, hunting and coached several softball teams. He also loved spending time with his family and friends, family members said.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josie; and father, Louis.
Survivors include his mother, Corina Gauna of Farwell; a sister, Bessie Ovalle of Clovis; seven children, Irene Garcia (and husband, Benny) of Canyon, Texas, Billy Gauna (Cissy) of Clovis, Doris O’Neal (Bobby) of Michigan City, Ind., Sue Panaen (Ron) of Canyon, Texas, Lou Ann Gauna of Clovis, Polly Stevenson (Tony) of Clovis and Margo Gauna of Clovis; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren.
Father Sotero Sena is officiating.
Pallbearers are his grandsons Richard, Chris and Zachary Gauna, Micheal Lucio, Adrian Garcia and Daniel Rubio.
